These are my six, best pictures for the first Composition AssignmentOn the top row are my examples of the rule of thirds, patterns, and symmetry, and on the bottom are my examples of texture, depth of field, and lines. For tis assignment, we were tasked with taking pictures that represent the basics of composition in photographs. Through this assignment, I learned the basics of using a camera and how to chose the best places to take photos.

This photo, in my opinion, is my best photo of texture that I took at the High School. I chose this picture because it not only shows how the braille pops out of the metal plate, but it also shows how the word "Vocal" has been cut into the metal plate. The picture actually shows the marks left by the machine in the grooves of the word "Vocal." Through this assignment, I learned that you have to get the camera to focus just right and have the right amount of lighting to highlight the desired texture you wish to capture. For this portion of the assignment, we had to take a picture that was a good example of symmetry. In my opinion, this is the best one that I took. This is a picture of a light fixture on a pillar in the school that I go to. Although this is also a great example of perspective, it is symmetrical as well making it a great example. From this I learned that it is hard to find a perfectly symmetrical photo, but there are always diamonds in the rough. I also chose this one because it stood out to me compared to all the other photos I tok. For this assignment, we had to shoot an example of the basics of photography. This photo, in my opinion, is my best example of the Rule of Thirds. In the photograph, the red pot is the main subject an is in the bottom left corner. Thus following the rule of thirds. This helped me learn that by using the rule of thirds, one can make a photo more pleasing to the eyes. My name is Spencer Schneider. I am currently in two clubs. One being the High School robotics team Saline Singularity and the Ten Tones. A group of a cappella singers. This blog is for my Digital Photography class and I really hope you enjoy my photographs. I took Digital Photography this year (2018) because I would like to better understand cameras and take better photos. So far the class has been a lot of fun!
